Q. What can I expect to see on the C-SPAN Digital Bus?
A. The Bus is equipped with the latest interactive technology. We hope to connect visitors to public affairs and government, while providing a greater understanding of C-SPAN and our free resources.
The Bus is equipped with four Touchsmart computer kiosks to access C-SPAN's resources, which include the Video Library, C-SPAN Classroom, Book TV, and our many websites. Visitors can also test their knowledge on a public affairs quizzes, share their opinion on the latest C-SPAN Poll, or record a perspective in the "Speaker's Corner".
Two HD monitors inform you of the latest C-SPAN programs. Tune into live feeds of C-SPAN and C-SPAN2, catch new authors on Book TV, or view historical perspectives on American History TV on C-SPAN3.
In the "C-SPAN to Go" section of the Bus, you can download C-SPAN podcasts, our iPhone app, and access
C-SPAN Radio. Three Mac laptops encourage you to connect with us online. Browse C-SPAN's YouTube
page, check the twitter feed for programming updates, and become our friend on Facebook.
The Bus is also equipped with a Smartboard and presentation area, for discussions of the Video
Library, C-SPAN Classroom, and other topics.
Q. Where do the C-SPAN Digital Bus and Local Content Vehicle (LCV) go?
A. The C-SPAN Digital Bus attends events across the country. You can see the Bus at book
festivals, education conferences, and political gatherings. We also work with local cable providers to bring the Bus to community events. These include high schools, universities, libraries, and many other locations.
The Local Content Vehicle travels the nation, with the crew capturing unique stories along the way. The Local Content Vehicle crew also speaks to students and other groups about filming and video journalism production.
Q. How long have the Bus and LCV been on the road?
A. The brand-new C-SPAN Digital Bus and LCV officially launch in summer of 2010. The C-SPAN Bus program began in 1993 with the C-SPAN School Bus.

A. C-SPAN made every effort to use renewable and reusable resources
in the Bus design. The new Bus engine also meets and exceeds EPA
environmental standards.
